Terms and Conditions

When completing a referral and making a booking, you give consent for Tails Therapy to discuss treatment and any concerns regarding your animal with your veterinary practice. You also give consent for your veterinary practice to share the mentioned pets' clinical notes and diagnostic images with Tails Therapy.

The therapist can refuse to administer treatment to any animal that is unfit for treatment on the day, for example, vomiting and diarrhoea, open wounds, new signs of injury or lameness, undiagnosed pathologies and active infections. Animals demonstrating these signs must be seen by a vet prior to treatment continuing.

You acknowledge that you understand that any new pathologies or lameness require a vet check before further treatment occurs, this is a legal requirement in accordance with the Veterinary Surgeons Exemptions Order (2015).

Animals that are deemed as aggressive must have a competent handler present, correct protective equipment (muzzle, hat, safety shoes, gloves) and a quiet place for the treatment to take place. The therapist can refuse to administer treatment if it is deemed unsafe to do so.
